Speech Competition Held Under Hindustan’s ‘Himalaya Bachao Abhiyan’

Haldwani, September 2, 2026:

A special awareness programme was organised at Beersheba School, Haldwani, under the Hindustan Himalaya Bachao Abhiyan, with the objective of creating awareness among students about the importance of protecting the Himalayan ecosystem and environment.

The programme was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Shri Ajay Bhatt, who encouraged students to understand the significance of the Himalayas and actively contribute towards environmental conservation. His presence added significance to the occasion and inspired the young participants. Mr. Tilak Talwar, Mrs. M. Sati, and Mr. H. S. Babbar were also present on the occasion and extended their support and encouragement to the students.

As part of the programme, a Speech Competition was organised for students. The participants expressed their views on various aspects of Himalayan conservation, environmental protection and the need to preserve our natural resources. Through their thoughtful and confident speeches, the students highlighted issues such as environmental pollution, deforestation, plastic waste and the importance of protecting the Himalayan region for future generations.

The Hindustan Himalaya Bachao Abhiyan aims to promote awareness and collective responsibility towards the protection of the Himalayan environment. Through activities such as awareness programmes, pledges and speech competitions, students are being encouraged to become responsible and environmentally conscious citizens.

The event at Beersheba School provided students with an opportunity not only to demonstrate their oratory skills but also to reflect upon their responsibility towards nature. Their participation conveyed a strong message that protecting the Himalayas is a shared responsibility and that every small effort can contribute to a sustainable future.
